Hele Corn Mill
Hele Corn Mill is a Grade II listed water mill dating back to at least 1525. Flour was milled here until the mid 1930s, and later it sadly fell derelict. In the 1970s the mill was restored by a local man named Chris Lovell. Now fully working, the mill grinds a heritage species of organic wheat to provide flour for the adjacent award-winning tea room.
Regrettably, the mill is not suitable for wheel-chair users or the infirm as there are four high steps to the entrance.
Please note that although dogs are welcome in the tea room and gardens, we cannot allow them into the water mill for food hygiene reasons as we mill flour there. Thank you for your understanding.
